Now is the time to learn about Rocky Mount and take the reins of leadership in helping shape a future of prosperity.
Several programs will be available this fall to help local citizens, especially young professionals, develop a better understanding of Rocky Mount, its business and nonprofit community, local government operations and the resources and opportunities it possesses to facilitate future growth.
Leadership Rocky Mount is an annual professional leadership development program organized by the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce. It is designed to acquaint young professionals and local leaders with information, issues, challenges and opportunities in the Rocky Mount-Nash-Edgecombe area.
Participants attend once-a-month, day-long workshops where they are exposed to critical information on local business and economic development, government operations, social services, nonprofits, education efforts and more. Participants also work on a team project that benefits local residents.
Leadership Rocky Mount is a premier local program that builds leaders and fosters an understanding of stewardship for fellow residents.
The next LRM will start with a reception on September 14th. The cost for this program is $1,000, and includes all materials, meals and program costs. Spaces are limited. To apply or learn more, contact Bobbi Booth with the Chamber at 252-973-1202, or email bbooth (at) rockymountchamber (dot) org.
